For the Avocado Crema
- 1 large clove garlic (peeled)
- 1 large avocado (approximately 10-12 ounces; halved, pit removed, flesh scooped out)
- ½ cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (juice of 1 large lime; more or less to taste)
- salt (to taste)
Place 1 large clove garlic in food processor. Process garlic until roughly chopped.
Add flesh of 1 large avocado and ½ cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt to food processor. Process ingredients together until very smooth.
Add 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice and small amount of salt. Process ingredients until fully combined. Once combined, taste crema and add additional lime juice and/or salt as desired until preferred flavor is achieved.
When satisfied with flavor, transfer avocado crema to serving bowl and serve immediately. Alternately, cover bowl with plastic wrap, pressing plastic wrap directly against top of crema to ensure no surface area is exposed to air. Refrigerate dip up to 4 hours, then stir and serve immediately.
- Avocado: Make sure you scoop out the very dark green flesh that's closest to the skin. It's the most nutrient dense part of the avocado flesh and you don't want to miss out on it!
- Make it Dairy Free: Replace the Greek yogurt with an unflavored dairy-free yogurt.
